Dr. Edward P. Harkins
Dr. Ed Harkins is an honors graduate of Rutgers University (Go Scarlet Knights!), and a 1994 Magna Cum Laude graduate of New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Harkins completed his Sports Medicine specialty leading to the title Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP). Additionally, Dr. Harkins was appointed to the State of California Department of Industrial Relations as a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME). Dr. Harkins has established himself as an expert in auto accident injuries – his training from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, Texas A&M University, and The US Navy has enabled him to be classified as a specialist inWhiplash Injury Biomechanics and Traumatology as well as a Low Speed Rear Impact Automobile Crash Reconstructionist. Due to his vast background in auto accident injuries, Dr. Harkins gets called on frequently to testify in court on behalf of injured patients.
Dr. Harkins takes the term doctor (which means teacher) literally. Dr. Harkins teaches continuing education classes for chiropractors, medical physicians, and attorneys. Dr. Harkins is a lead instructor for the Human Biomechanics of Trauma Institute, the Academy of Chiropractic Continuing Education, as well as the California Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Harkins treats patients of all kinds – from the competitive athlete, to the weekend warrior, to the soccer mom, and everyone in-between. Dr. Harkins treatment philosophy is to fix your problems quickly, and teach you how to avoid the problems in the future.
